Radiation–Treatment 19 to 23

One more week left!

I am ready for this to be over. I am so burnt right now. I am in pain 90% of the time. I take ibuprofen, and it helps, but the pain is always there. Even wearing a shirt hurts, so most of the time at home I go without one on.  Also, I have three small blisters—one in between  my breasts and two under my arm. I’m worried about how they are going to react to more radiation. An open wound would be terrible. I spend most of my time covered in lotion now trying to prevent that.

Just above the scar under my breast are two of the blisters.

This is the blister between my breasts.

Also, the darkening of the skin between my breasts weirdly resembles the flag of Turkey.

My skin feels gritty. It’s a lot like leather. Thank goodness I’ve used all of that lotion. I can’t imagine what it would look like if I hadn’t. I just keep telling myself that it’s only five more days.
